Where does the race begin?
The race begins on Grindlay St. just south of Orange Ave.

Where is the best place to park?
Parking is available at both City Hall on Grindlay St., just north of Orange Ave., at LDS church on Orange Ave., just west of Grindlay St., and in the surrounding neighborhoods.

What time does the race start?
Pre-race stretch on the grass in front of City Hall, between the library and the Council Chambers: 6:30 – 7:00am
5K & 10K Run & 5K Walk announcements: 7:00am Race start time: 7:30 a.m. (walkers line up towards the back)

When and where can I pick up my Run packet (bib, shirt & bag)?
You can ONLY pick up your items on either Friday, July 26 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. or Saturday, July 27 from 6:00 a.m.-7:00 a.m. at the Cypress Civic Center, 5275 Orange Avenue, on the grass in front of City Hall, between the Library and Council Chambers

Can I pick up another athlete’s packet (bib, shirt & bag)?
Yes, as long as they have previously registered and you have their exact name and race in which they are participating

Do you have a place to put my keys and belongings?
Personal Item Storage near the First Aid station on the grass in front of City Hall, between the Library and Council Chambers

Where is the First Aid?
Near the Finish line & Personal Item Storage on the grass in front of City Hall, between the Library and Council Chambers

Where are the restrooms?
Porta-Potties are just north of Orange Ave. on Grindlay St. and there are outdoor restrooms near the Library

Where and when are Run results posted?
Results will be posted at the registration area on the on the grass in front of City Hall, between the Library and Council Chambers on laptops and after the race on cypressrec.org.

Where and what time is the award ceremony?
There is no awards ceremony, you can pick up your medals at the Cypress Recreation canopy near the registration area as soon as the official results are available.  NEW - Picture area also available at this location on the 
grass in front of City Hall, between the Library and Council Chambers.    

How can I get my medal if I can’t stay or forget to pick it up?
You may pick up your medal at the Community Center, 5700 Orange Ave. M-F 8am-5pm beginning on Monday, July 29.

Who gets medals?        
• Participation Medals are given at the finish line to each registered participant,  
• Winner Medals - Top 3 finishers in each division and each age group for both 5K & 10K Runs.

How much is award money?
Top 3 overall finishers in 10K for both male & female:
1st place $1,000 male/female
2nd place $500 male/female
3rd place $250 male/female

OC RACE SERIES
Challenge yourself by finishing in consecutive order any combination of 5K/10K Triathlon event in each of the cities of Cypress, Los Alamitos (Feb 2019), and Seal Beach (April 2019). Must have timed finish (Cypress 5K Walk does not count) at all 3 events in the series (one in each city) in a row and receive a medal on your 3rd race. A Free OC Race Series medal will be given out to everyone who completes this challenge. Signing up is not necessary as we will automatically track all participants. Where, what time, and how much is the pancake breakfast/Cypress Festival?
Cypress Community Festival, Oak Knoll Park: 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. FREE Admission
Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast, Oak Knoll Park/Community Center: 7:00-11:00 a.m. $5.00
