Help Keep Cypress Clean!

Street sweeping keeps our streets clean and protects our environment. Please help by moving cars and keeping the street clear for the sweeper. Remember, when you see the street sweeper go by, clean streets help keep clean beaches.

Street Sweeping Notes

  1. Orangewood Avenue between Holder Street and Knott Avenue follows a special sweeping schedule:
    North side: Wednesday
    South side: Thursday
  2. Orange Avenue between Walker Street and Valley View Street follows a special sweeping schedule:
    North side: Wednesday
    South side: Thursday
  3. Orange Avenue between Valley View Street and Holder Street:
    Beginning Sept. 1, street sweeping on the north side will move from Tuesdays to Fridays, aligning with the existing Friday sweeping schedule on the south side.
  4. Bloomfield Avenue between Lincoln Avenue and Orange Avenue follows a special sweeping schedule:
    West side: Tuesday or Thursday
    East side: Monday
  5. Areas 25, 26 and 42 alleys are swept on Friday.
  6. Parking restrictions on sweeping day are from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Area 23 is posted until 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
  7. Arterial streets may not follow the schedule shown on the map. Residents should follow all posted no-parking signs.

The City of Cypress observes the following holidays:

  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
  • Presidents Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Veterans Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Day After Thanksgiving Day

Please note: Street sweeping and parking enforcement will not occur on observed holidays.
