The Application Period to File is Now Closed. 

The Cypress City Council invited interested residents to submit supporting material expressing their interest in filling one vacancy on the City Council.

The appointment will fill the remainder of the four-year at-large term previously held by former Council Member Scott Minikus, who resigned from the City Council on October 1, 2025. The term will expire in November 2026.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Reside within the corporate limits of the City of Cypress.
  • Be registered to vote in the City of Cypress at the time the application is submitted.
