Collection Center Information

To dispose of household hazardous waste items, take them to the Collection Centers located at 

• 1071 N. Blue Gum St. Anaheim, CA.
• 17121 Nichols Street -Gate 6 Huntington Beach, CA.
• 6411 Oak Canyon Irvine, CA. 

Accepted Items
Typical items accepted at the Collection Center include:

Antifreeze Batteries Flammables / Combustibles Household chemicals Household items with cathode ray tubes (CRTs)

Mercury thermostats or thermometers  Paint (latex and oil-based) Pesticides / herbicides Used motor oil Used oil filters

Household hazardous wastes are only accepted in original containers and are limited to 15 gallons or 125 pounds per vehicle.  For more information call the County of Orange at 714-834-4000 or visit their website.

The Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) provides grant funding to support local government programs promoting used oil recycling. Take your used oil to one of the many CalRecycle Certified Used Oil Collection Centers throughout Orange County.
