Bulky Item Pickup

Valley Vista Services customers can receive up to four free bulky item pickups per calendar year. Scheduling instructions vary by residence type. 


Note: For the remainder of 2026, two pickups are available, with the full four-pickup benefit beginning in 2027.

Single-Family Residences

Up to 10 items per scheduled pickup

Residents of single-family homes can schedule their bulky item pickup directly with Valley Vista Services.

Three Ways to Schedule Your Pickup

  1. Submit a request online at valleyvistaservices.com/bulky-item.
  2. Email an itemized list to vvsbulky@myvvs.com.
  3. Contact Valley Vista Services customer service at (800) 442-6454.

Plan ahead: Schedule your pickup at least 48 hours before your regular trash collection day.

Multi-Family Residences

Up to four items per unit, per pickup 

Contact Your Property Manager or HOA

Pickup requests should be coordinated through your property manager or HOA to help ensure a smooth collection process.

Common Bulky Items

  • Furniture, including sofas, desks, chairs and tables
  • Mattresses and box springs
  • Patio furniture
  • Stoves and dishwashers
  • Washers and dryers
  • Water heaters
  • Microwave ovens and air conditioners
  • Toilets, sinks and other porcelain products
  • Shipping crates and containers
  • Bicycles and suitcases
  • Barbecues and swing sets
  • Tires, tools and toys

Electronic Waste

Electronic waste, or e-waste, includes appliances and devices that contain a circuit board or battery. It is illegal to dispose of e-waste in your automated carts. Valley Vista Services will collect these items for proper disposal and recycling.

  • Dishwashers and microwave ovens
  • Televisions
  • Printers, scanners and desktop copiers
  • Digital cameras
  • Computer monitors
  • Computers and laptops
  • Computer keyboards
  • VCR, DVD, CD and tape players
  • Cellphones
  • Stereos and speakers
  • Cables and digital clocks
  • Other corded appliances and devices not defined as universal waste

Donate Usable Items

Before disposing of furniture, appliances or other household items that are still in usable condition, consider donating them. Donations can help others while reducing the amount of material sent to landfills. It is an easy way to put “reduce, reuse, recycle” into practice.

Clothing and Small Household Items

Consider donating clothing, collectibles and small household items to a local rummage sale fundraiser sponsored by a school, church or community organization. Several regional charitable organizations also offer periodic neighborhood pickups.

Goodwill Industries

Usable items may be delivered directly to a nonprofit organization such as Goodwill Industries, located at 10650 Walker St. in Cypress.

Habitat for Humanity of Orange County ReStores

Habitat for Humanity of Orange County ReStores accepts larger household items in good working condition, including furniture, appliances, cabinets, lighting, plumbing fixtures, doors and windows. The ReStores are also licensed to accept electronic waste.
