Meet Our School Resource Officer
Supporting students, strengthening relationships and helping keep Cypress schools safe.
School Resource Officers (SROs) play a vital role in fostering safe, supportive and welcoming school environments where students can thrive. Beyond providing a visible security presence, they build positive relationships with students, staff and families, serving as trusted mentors and resources.
By working collaboratively with school administrators, educators and the community, School Resource Officers help prevent issues before they escalate, promote safety through education and outreach, and contribute to a positive school culture that supports learning and student well-being.
The City of Cypress SRO is funded through a partnership with the Anaheim Union High School District and serves students at Lexington Junior High School, Cypress High School and Oxford Academy.
SRO Tiffiny Packwood is Cypress’ School Resource Officer. Prior to becoming a sworn peace officer, she served as an intern with a local police agency and handled security for a major entertainment venue. She is a magna cum laude graduate of California State University, Long Beach, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice.
SRO Packwood is part of the department’s social media team and serves as an advisor for Cypress Police Explorer Post 10-36. Stop by and say hello when you see her in the community!
