As part of the City's ongoing commitment to Cypress small businesses, the Cypress City Council created the Cypress Home Based Business Pandemic Support Program to provide $2,500 grants to 80 home based businesses that have experienced significant revenue declines due to COVID-19. As of March 22, 2021 eligibility for the program has changed, please see below.

Application Process:

Step 2: E-mail your 2019 tax return document to homebusiness@cypressca.org

1. Business must have been financially affected by the COVID-19 National Emergency and realized a decline in gross revenues of at least 20% since 2019.
2. Business must operate in a residential zoned area in Cypress
3. Business must be for-profit and be the primary source of income for the business owner
4. The business gross revenues from calendar year 2019 must be a minimum of $29,120
5. Business must have a current Cypress business license and had an active Cypress business license since December 31, 2019.

You must submit your business 2019 tax return with your application or your application will be incomplete. Prior to receiving a grant, 2020 tax information and other documentation may be required.
