Welcome to the City of Cypress Business Assistance Program

Considered to be one of most business friendly cities in Southern California, Cypress embraces a “Pro-Business” philosophy. This starts with our dedicated City Council/Redevelopment Agency and the progressive leadership of our City Manager. The City’s emphasis on economic development translates to tailored business assistance programs and a highly trained professional staff with a “can do” attitude. Our entrepreneurial approach to business differentiates us from our competition and provides our business community with a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

Being one of the few Southern California cities without a Planning Commission equates to a streamlined internal plan review process and less red tape for the applicant. Our team of economic development professionals works closely with the commercial/industrial brokerage community and keeps close tabs on the local market activity. We are prepared to walk you through the entitlement process, provide you with current market data, access to key City officials, and when needed, facilitate interaction with our many regional partners.

Many times, cities will work aggressively to pursue your business only to ignore your needs once you have relocated. In Cypress we place just as much emphasis in retaining and growing our businesses as we do in attracting them. Addressing your ongoing needs is our priority. This is accomplished through our small business program, AGENT (Assist, Grow, Educate, Network, & Thrive) and our larger business program, BRACE (Business Retention, Attraction, Creation, & Expansion). Both programs, which are hosted by the Mayor, meet on a quarterly basis and highlight a variety of informative topics. Your success is our success.
