Commander Chris Revere began his career as a police officer with the Los Angeles Police Department in 1996. In 2001, he transferred to the Santa Ana Police Department as a police officer and worked assignments in uniformed and directed patrol. He promoted to Detective in 2007, investigating robberies, carjackings, and assaults. In 2010, he promoted to sergeant and worked assignments as a field supervisor and internal affairs investigator. He promoted to Commander in 2012 and was assigned as the watch commander and executive officer to the Chief of Police. Commander Revere transferred to the Cypress Police Department in 2017 and is currently assigned as the Operations Division Commander.
Commander Revere has obtained his Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, Supervisory, and Management P.O.S.T. certificates. He graduated from Chapman University with Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and is obtaining his Master’s Degree in Law Enforcement and Public Safety Leadership from the University of San Diego. He is a graduate of the Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute – Class 321, the L.A.P.D. Leadership Program, and the F.B.I. National Academy – Session 264. He is also an adjunct faculty member at the Rancho Santiago Community College District, instructing police recruits at the Orange County Sheriff’s Regional Academy.
