On June 29, 2011, the State of California adopted legislation to eliminate all redevelopment agencies within the State. In response to this action, Cypress’ redevelopment agency was dissolved on February 1, 2012. A Successor Agency to the former Cypress Redevelopment Agency was established on January 9, 2012 to wind down the financial and administrative affairs of the agency.
