Council Member Stacy Berry Appointed to Serve on League of California Cities Orange County Division Board of Directors
Last week, March 3, Council Member Stacy Berry was selected to serve as the Second District Representative on the League of California Cities’ Orange County Division Board of Directors.
“I am honored to serve as the Second District Representative on the Orange County Division Board of Directors. I am looking forward to discussing issues that are impacting our region and working collaboratively to advocate and shape future policies at the state and local level,” said Berry.
The League’s Orange County Division provides members with the opportunity to exchange ideas and information and share the advantages of cooperative advocacy for local control. The Orange County Division is governed by a 13-member Board of Directors under the leadership of a Division President.
The Division serves as an integral part of the grassroots advocacy core of the League. City Officials, both elected and professional city staff, work closely to develop regional informational programs and carry out grassroots activities to support specific legislative and regulatory goals. The Division regularly hosts General Membership meetings which provide opportunities for city officials to be briefed on statewide issues impacting local government, as well as to share and discuss strategies for strengthening cities’ collective voice for increase advocacy in the State Capitol.
